FAQ

Your own Mobile ID & Virtual Business Card with a built-in Decentralized Automated Payment Processor (D.A.P.P) in the form of a small, flat chip. Accept fiat and/or crypto payments via your own customized Credit Chip + App on any iOS & Android mobile device acting as a Point-Of-Sale.

The Transaction Process

In decentralized payment processing, transactions are initiated by the payer and transmitted to the decentralized network. These transactions contain the necessary information, such as the recipient’s wallet address and the amount to be transferred.

Once the transaction is sent, it is broadcasted to the network and grouped with other pending transactions. Miners, participants who maintain the blockchain, validate these transactions and add them to the blockchain.

Validation and Verification Procedures

The verification process in decentralized automated payment processing is handled by the network participants, also known as validators. Validators ensure the validity of transactions by confirming that the payer has sufficient funds and that the transaction adheres to the predefined rules of smart contracts.

On validating the transaction, the validators reach a consensus and add it to a new block in the blockchain. This process ensures the transparency and immutability of transactions.

After ordering your own personalized Credit Chip you get access to a full automated payment platform with simple pay-as-you-go rates.

If a seller supports the transfer in Mobile Credits, you will be able to transfer funds to their address and pay for the goods or service. Payment with Mobile Credits at checkout (like Visa or Mastercard) is supported on the Web3 Marketplace. Merchants may choose to not accept Credit Chips and/or Mobile Credits. This is out of our control.

Payout speed varies per country, but your Mobile Credits balance is typically available for payout between 2 to 7 business days. In supported countries, your default payout schedule is daily automatic, that is, your Mobile Credits balance would be paid out daily once available for payout. You can also opt to receive payouts weekly or monthly. MetaMask payouts are always instant.

We currently support processing payments in 135+ currencies, allowing you to charge customers in their native currency while receiving funds in yours.

We currently only support ERC-20 networks. Today there are more than 450,000 ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum including Tether (USDT), Binance USD (BUSD), Polygon (MATIC) , Shiba Inu Coin (SHIB) & many more.

MetaMask currently supports five lines of hardware wallet: AirGap Vault, Keystone, Lattice, Ledger and Trezor. These wallets are supported on Extension, and will be able to be added to Mobile in future updates.

Transaction fees are the fees Mobile Credits collects when a customer makes a purchase from your shop on the Web3 Marketplace. Transaction fees are only collected on listings that sell.

Transaction fee basics:

  • Mobile Credits charges 1%-10% of the total order amount in your designated listing currency, depending on your shop settings.
  • This fee applies to the total cost of the item, along with shipping and gift wrap (if you charge your customers for those). You will see the charges itemized separately on your Payment account.
  • The transaction fee amount posts automatically to your Payment account.

Payment processing fees are a set rate plus a percent of the total sale price of the item. This rate and percent vary by country. The fees are taken from the item’s total sale price, including its shipping fees, and any applicable sales tax.

Payment processing fees are charged on each transaction that uses Web3 Marketplace Payments. These processing fees appear in your payment account and are deducted prior to deposit. They are in addition to Web3 Marketplace’s transaction fees.

The loss of a Credit Chip doesn’t lead to losing your funds. You can buy a new Credit Chip and transfer funds with it again.

There is nothing to hack! Modifying a Credit Chip is not possible to access a different account than it is coded for, this is practically impossible. Because of common security countermeasures, a failed attempt to modify the chip activates a self-destruct programming, destroying the chip to make it useless.

No, NEVER! The Credit Chip itself stores neither your assets nor your private keys – it only acts as a display by visualizing specific blockchain data. It is you only that stores private keys, which is why you can still access your funds. All you have to do is buy a new Credit Chip and transfer funds again.

  • Support for (d)Apps from third parties
  • Fixing issues related to integrations with other third party software that are not mentioned on our product pages, as supported integrations
  • General (d)App Support. We do not provide support for issues that are not closely related to our products.
  • Customizations and modifications (including, but not limited to color changes, image changes etc…)
  • Adding new features to our products, or extending the existing features.

In our quest to provide the best possible support, we must have some limitations to allow our support team to provide the best service. Decentralized payment processing offers several advantages over traditional centralized systems. Let’s explore two key benefits.

Enhancing Security and Privacy

Decentralization provides increased security by eliminating single points of failure. In a decentralized system, there is no single target for malicious attacks, making it more resistant to hacking and fraud.

Imagine a scenario where a centralized payment processor gets hacked. This could potentially expose the personal and financial information of millions of users. However, in a decentralized payment processing system, the information is distributed across multiple nodes, making it much harder for hackers to gain access to sensitive data.

Additionally, decentralized payment processing prioritizes privacy. Unlike centralized systems, where personal and financial information is stored in a centralized database, decentralized systems allow users to retain control over their data.

With decentralized payment processing, users have the ability to choose how much information they want to share during a transaction. They can keep their personal details private, only revealing the necessary information for the payment to be processed. This gives users a greater sense of control and reduces the risk of their data being exploited.
